We believe our services are unparalleled because we offer trained technicians that specialize in stain removal and can also move your furniture. Best of all, there are never any hidden charges with McGhee.

As McGhee Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning and as the McGhee family, we think some of the most important work we do is in people’s homes. Very often, there is nothing better than coming home to your beautiful family in your beautiful home. While we can only try to manage our family, we will certainly do the best we can to make your home as welcoming as possible.

One special touch we like to put on our cleaning is something we call the McGhee Pattern. If you take a look at some of our pictures, you’re sure to notice our distinctive triangle pattern. Not only does this pattern dry quicker than others, it lets you know we’ve been there. It also shows your friends and family that you have the cleanest carpet around!

With McGhee, we like to say that you’ll know when we’ve been there. But we do that in all the right ways. Other companies may do damage to your lawn and walls when they’re cleaning but we care about your entire property. Because of this, we protect your lawn and we put up corner guards to protect your walls.

At McGhee, we give your home as much care as you would.

  • Our Cleaning Process:

    Step 1: Pre-Inspection

Every great carpet cleaning starts with a proper pre-inspection. Our service technician will inspect your particular areas of concern as well as noting carpet construction, and soiling conditions. He will also advise you of any possible permanent staining.

    Step 2: Pre-Vacuum

If needed, your carpet will be pre-vacuumed to remove bonded dry soil. This is in addition to the vacuuming that takes place throughout the entire cleaning process.

    Step 3: Furniture Moving

Sofas, chairs and tables will be carefully moved. Larger pieces such as; beds, dressers, entertainment centers, china cabinets and other liability prone items are left in place under our regular pricing structure. Furniture will be protected with disposable blocks and tabs as needed.

    Step 4: Pre-Condition & Pre-Spot Treatment

Traffic areas and spots are pre-treated for more effective soil and spot removal.

    Step 5: Pre-Groom

Your carpet will be pre-groomed with a carpet groomer (depends on the soil level) to further loosen traffic area soiling.

    Step 6: Extract & Rinse

Once the soil has been loosened, our state-of-the-art truck-mounted hot water extraction process will thoroughly rinse the carpet pile. Pressure and heat are regulated so that carpet is not over-wet. We rinse with specially treated water at temperatures ranging between 60-235 degrees depending on the fiber content and soiling condition. This step also improves your air quality by removing the pollens, pollutants, and dust mites, etc. from the carpet.

    Step 7: Neutralize

Every carpet that we clean is rinsed with a PH balanced product so that there is never a sticky residue left behind. (This is a very important step that is often overlooked by other cleaners).

    Step 8: Post Spot Treatment

If any spots are not removed during the cleaning process, specialty-spotting techniques are employed after a thorough cleaning. Note: This excludes permanent stains that are identified by our service technician in the pre-inspection.

Step 9: Carpet Protection Application (optional but recommended)

Carpets protected with Maxim Advanced Protector, clean up easier and stay clean longer.

Step 10: Speed Dry (When needed)

High velocity air movers will be placed in the room to speed dry the carpet.
